Autumn starts today, and it is time to see the leaves falling, changing scenarios, bringing new colours and a different atmosphere to the cities. It is also time to say goodbye to the beaches and the sunny days.
Living in Lisbon you don’t need to be too worried about the season changing, as the temperatures remain in the twenties into October. Lisbon has a lot to offer during the entire year, and it wouldn’t be different in Autumn.
Here it goes a list of what you could do during an Autumn day in Lisbon:
Miradouros
With the temperature starting to decrease, it is a great time to explore the sunset spots we already told you about a few articles ago. It is not too hot or cold, and the sun goes down just behind the 25 de Abril bridge, creating a fairy tale scenario for you to enjoy and maybe take some pictures.
Avenida da Liberdade
Another great tip is to walk through Avenida da Liberdade, which is simply beautiful during Autumn, with all its trees starting to lose their leaves, creating a breathtaking landscape. You can start from Marques de Pombal and finish your tour shopping at Rua Augusta and enjoying the sunset at Praça do Comércio, or take the other way round, finishing your day at Parque Eduardo VII, with a stunning view of the city.
Jardim da Estrela e Jardim do Torel
Jardim da Estrela and Jardim do Torel are also great tips to spend an afternoon with your friends. There you can maybe listen to music, grab a coffee and enjoy nature in these beautiful centre located parks.
Parque Florestal do Monsanto
Another great place to visit in Autumn is the Parque Florestal do Monsanto if you liked the nature-related tip. Considered Lisbon’s lung, Monsanto has a great fauna and flora diversity and it is the best place to hear the leaves under your feet while walking around the natural park.
Your Residence’s Lounge!
Another autumn rainy day? Don’t worry! You can always stay at your U.hub Xior residence: enjoy watching some Netflix or HBO at our lounge, go to the gym, interact with the other residents, or just catch up on some studies!
The truth is every little corner in Lisbon will have something to offer during Autumn. Wherever you are, it will be a great place to have a coffee or drink a glass of wine. The options are endless, and we hope to help you spend a great time here!
